We have very robust socialism... when it comes to corporations.
I've seen it many times that even though Bernie is considered to be socialist here he is center at best in comparison to european nations. I think that says a lot don't you?
The part about corporations is spot on. Bernie's not at all centrist though. He's just deceitful - he claims to be in favor of domestic socialism but you'll find that he & his ilk always want corporate socialism first & foremost. AKA "follow the money". There's some great footage of his staffers saying the Soviet gulags weren't so bad & how everyone they disagree with needs to be sent to gulags come the Revolution.
Gah, you need to give us a while so we can wrap our heads around what you think socialism is and what facism is. A dictatorship is the perfect example of fascist communism. Corporate communism is what happened post GFC when governments were forcing businesses to merge to save 'not allowed to fail' businesses. Right now we are seeing a no end to corporate debt buy-ups by fed's (fisting?) which is also corporate communism but none of this is taking into account what it's like living with negative interests rates currently being tried in some European countries. Where on earth does that fit in? Negative interest rates seems more corrupt than anything else when you work out how the rich can leverage (move) their monies around the world. Corruption is pretty rife in the whole worlds political system right now, its making the 80's look pretty clean.
It's not terribly difficult, it's just that ignorant people have been brainwashed by the Left into thinking that certain flavors of socialism are somehow "right-wing" (meaning EEEEEBBILLL) and other types are good. All flavors rely upon loss of personal freedom and the oppressive power of the Federal State.
Dictatorships can occur under every form of government, though socialism is particularly endowed to cause them. It's pretty hard to get a dictatorship in a republican or parliamentary government - obviously, not at all hard to get one in Democracy because Democracy is just a fancy name for mob rule. America was never a Democracy.
Communism is socialism where the Federal State does not allow private enterprise.
Fascism is socialism where the Federal State allows private enterprise, but regulates & generally taxes the snot out of it. There's an argument to be made that both the U.S. and China practice this model. It's often referred to as "corporatism" because some people adore the concept of socialism so much that they don't want to recognize it's no different than the others.
American Progressives are fascist in nature. They want oppressive Gov't control of the private sector in order to reward & punish.
There's really no such thing as "Corporate communism".
Nationalism is simply used by ignorant people as a dirty word. Socialists of all stripes are Nationalist, and although Communists want to conquer & loot other countries in the name of the COMINTERN ("Communist International") they consider themselves the *real* rulers in the end.
Negative interest rates are a non sequitur, but that's peanuts compared to the financial shenanigans that "Socialist Democrats" eventually want to play.
Corruption occurs everywhere and under all systems. The more powerful the Government & its favored institutions, the more corruption. Haven't you wondered why you're not hearing anything about Joe Biden getting hundreds of thousands of dollars from the ChiComs?
History's a biatch, & that's why socialists hate it so deeply.
Why are y'all arguing these points here in the riot thread when
both you and
I made perfectly good thread about civilization specifically for this purpose?
