The Jason Bourne Mafia Game

So, I first started having misgivings about kegs' slot D1, when he replied to D2DC's "are you mafia" query.

Who....me?

Not exactly damning, but it certainly isn't helpful. Being unhelpful is not townie behavior.

Well that's good enough for me...

I call him on it. Not really intent, but not totally RVS, either.

Then he uses a gimmick/joke already posted in thread that went over well to blow off direct questioning. To bad he didn't follow through with an actual answer like that other guy...

or insulting my style.

Jumps in just before day-end, swaps votes around. Ends up deciding OMGUS is best, in what reads to me as an attempt to throw doubt on a vote that stuck, and gained more votes, before end of day vote-scramble.

Did you seriously end the day with an OMGUS? You aren't helping me feel any better about your slot this game, kegs..

I'd be interested in that as well.
Not really, it was not a serious vote. But you do suck, for the record.

Called him on OMGUS. Response is to throw shade and play it off.

Votes CG, no explanation or questions.

It wasn't the original question you asked, but the prodding you gave that disturbs me. I can't decide if it's a bad lamist or bad coaching. And I asked a different question entirely.

After direct question, posts this lame excuse. Prodding for an answer to a direct question is bad? Good gods, I wish @Ankeli were still around, he would love this...

With all due respect...it's a terrible question on day 1. I guess you could argue that you are trying to get people to name names early, as the scum already know who they are and it's unlikely they want to give out info if they were lynched later. But it's not an easy question to answer if you're town either. I don't have enough info to lean towards anyone being town except myself.

So he clearly states he sees the usefulness of D2DC's question, and the replies, but still refuses to answer.

I'm not a fan of prestige's post yesterday, and if Thingyman doesn't show up and gets mked he's a top suspect in my book.

More vote swapping. This time he gives a weak reasoning, hey its progress! To bad he hedges it with an out to swap vote again...

Oh lord.....

More vote swaps, too bad we are back to leaving reasons or logic unstated, so it's essentially just fluff...

I did answer, just not a particularly useful answer.

And finish up with a direct admission to being unhelpful and interfering with scum-hunting...

For all this, I am doing this in earnest. FoS directly on @kestegs, I want explanations and answers or I've got a rope.

This will be a bit rushed, as I'm already late for work and will be on my phone only the rest of the day.

My reads so far. I still left Drixx in the town group, but am on serious alert because of the "beef" with Zarni. Last two posts, apparently resolving things did little to change my mind. Looked a lot to me like they said, "everyone is on to us. time to drop it." Everything else I've seen so far has just been based on comments/attitudes/activity levels. Really starting to worry that this game is going nowhere like the RNG lynching game..

Leaning Town: Similar read on all three of these as they seem to be actively investigating, or at least questioning things in an attempt to gain information and "solve" the puzzle.
Zemaj
Caluin Graye
Drixx*

Neutral:
Zarni - More reactive posts/comments rather than pro-active pushing things forward.
Leo - Not much to go off here. You are one of my "low activity" worries. Not really helping to solve anything.

Leaning Mafia:
Prestige - Dodged my question, vote for Thingy, vote for Ethan Hunt's Ketchup?
Kestegs - "Totality" of posts: count (18), one-liners (8), votes (8). So, only 2x posts that were not a vote, or a one-line response, like "Who .. Me?"

Uhh .. yea:
Noodle
Thingy

Anybody else care to share reads, or info that was gained last night? We need to get something accomplished soon. Can't count on people NOT dying for much longer.. o_O

@Caluin Graye - I forgot to answer your question. It's true, I have considered dog food as a low cost source of protein.. but have yet to face the economic stresses that might force me into actually eating it. If you're referring to me answering my own question, then I already named Zemaj. ;)

Did you actually read those posts, because while I will not argue that they have been overly substantive I do believe you are painting an inaccurate picture.

I both agree and disagree on the need to get something accomplished soon. Nobody has died yet, but that won't last forever. But nobody has died yet and so in a way it still feels like D1, and I'm not a huge fan of lynching D1.

Did you plan this attack out with D2DC, letting him call me scum first and then you follow up with the "evidence"?

What is the most townie way to respond to "are you mafia"?

As I've stated several times, I did answer his "who do you think is town?" question. I'm incredibly sorry that neither of you can either read or accept my answer, but it's right there in the post you quoted.

There's just over two hours left in the day.

Okay, I’ll engage as I was one very grumpy penguin yesterday for reasons that are irrelevant to the game (moving my daughter home from college).

I am not mafia.

I am pro-town and my victory condition requires that the town wins.

In return, I ask everyone pressing me to reciprocate.

Thank you.

I am townie mctownerson.

I would love to see the others who jumped into this question and answer back and forth also answer. I won't hold my breath though.

I'm seriously confused and also irritated by the low activity. We used to be so much more post happy around here.

I'm going to assume I'm included in the 'everyone' & 'others' who expressed interest.

I'm so townie, this is my ringtone.

So you think we should let the scum take the lead when we have already won 2 consecutive no-NK days?

1. No... only way to have done that would be to arrange in thread, which from a quick read, you can see we did not.

2. "No".

3. Yes, you did... with what you later admitted was an unhelpful, non-answer. I'm not worried that you never answered, but that your answers are all crap.

Haven't changed my mind... in fact, just seems like scum flailing when pinned.

I dont have time to post much..

Re: Kestegs D1 lynch - I brought this up in my first? game (as mafia?) and got reamed for.it. I am not 100% sure, but the veteran players are quite convinced. Basically youre giving scum a free pass.

Re: vote count
::sigh:: I guess there is no way we are getting anything.done with only 5players playing..

Re: MK
The more people silver kills, the better chances of nabbing scum.. I guess?

Quoting this because Zemaj quoted something that caught my attention.

Sorry guys, I've been busy the last couple of days. I should be around for the rest of the game though.

I don't think Drixx is scum. Not really willing to vote for him at this time.

This is interesting, especially point 1. I'll have to think about the implications a bit.

I will update lists into the first posts of the game regarding vote counts and lists of who is alive/dead.

Several news channels broke varied stories of multiple instances of gunfire exchanges across the city in the late hours of the night, particularly at 415 E. 71st Street and at 60 Lafayette Street. However, it seems that even though hits were scored, no death occurred.

Night 2 has ended, there have been no kills.

It is now Day 3 and all may post freely.

@Caluin Graye any idea why your vote apparently doesn't count?

That's my fault.

I was working from my phone yesterday while at work and unfortunately missed it. I will amend the vote count totals. Even though I slipped and did not count that vote, there still would not have been a lynch as a majority was not reached.
