No matter how hard i try to avoid it, i still sometimes let outside influences (my mood) effect my gameplay on a given day. If I'm rushed I'm more likely to skim posts and draw incorrect conclusions from them. As such, I tend to believe Zarniwoop's explanation that he was not in the best frame of mind and it affected the nature and tone of his posts. (i for one, have likely said "dumber' things in a mafia game.
) As for him being "pro-town"-- well I think we can each interpret that in the manner we see fit.

Kestegs - thats exactly why I asked the question. Town wouldnt worry too much about their answer. They would give a player they read as town. But they dont KNOW. So, if they flip, not much can be read from it. Mafia do KNOW. So, if they flip, their answer will be scrutinized. Both you and Prestige seem to get that, yet still struggle to answer.

Drixx/Zarni - after Zemaj said he had the same thought regarding your "beef", I even began thinking that it was so blatantly made up, that it was intended to.be so. But, that seems unlikely to me.
1. Beef is made up, and you are both scum
2. Beef is legit, and Drixx is a very fervent townie
3. Beef is overly blatant. This would be too risky in my eyes. Basially, Drixx (as instigator), would be scum. And, hatches a genius scheme to draw Zarni into an obviously fake beef, which everyone will see through, thus getting Zarni lynched. And, when Zarni flips.town, Drixx will be exonerated. Thats quite a master plan..

At the time the question it was first presented i felt it was too early--many people have not yet posted, or posted (fluff) once or twice. As we are deeper in the game, I'll claim Kestags. Not a particularly strong feel, but based upon the totality of his posts and votes) he seems to really want to hunt scum and elicit information--and isn't afraid of ruffling some feathers in the process.
On a side not, I'd like to see some of our "quieter" players pipe up a bit. I know we all have different schedules/lives and it makes things difficult--but it seems like only a small handful of people are posting on a regular basis. Since so many are quiet, it hard to determine if they are trying to fly under the radar (as scum) or they are just busy. I'd like to get their read on the game, thus far. Not necessarily naming names, but just a brief summary of the players and events that have occurred thus far--not so much that their opinion carries any more weight than those who post regularly, but to see if they are actually playing (as opposed to just waiting for a MK).
ugh..anyone want a job as my post editor? hopefully you all still get the just of what I was saying--even though it was somewhat repetitive and rambling.

I am a bit surprised you named Kestegs for the "totality of his posts" though. For me, he is doing more voting than talking..

With practically the same people posting today as yesterday (actually, one less person) and no new information to work off of, how do you figure we are 'deeper in the game' than we were yesterday?

I would love to see the others who jumped into this question and answer back and forth also answer. I won't hold my breath though.
I'm seriously confused and also irritated by the low activity. We used to be so much more post happy around here.
For starters, it appears that we are a mere 13 hours (most of them being sleeping time) from a couple of mod kills. That, by its very nature brings us deeper into the game.
Moreover, there has been some dissection of people's posts on the thread. Granted, that sometimes happens on Day 1--but not always. That, to me is indicative of progress in the game.
Finally, somebody is out there making night moves (the attempted assassination) and the target of the night move survived. As such, there is someone out there that wishes that one of us was no longer playing in this game--and the target of that person is either very lucky or, more likely, has a special ability which allowed him or her to survive the attack. I suppose that a 3rd party could have a protective ability, and saved the target, but that seems unlikely as I haven't seen any indication that people are strong enough allies that they would take a bullet/use a power on them at this point of the game. (Not to mention that they would have to know that the impending "hit" was ordered in advance so they could invoke their power.)
I suppose those factors could amount to nothing other than a series of "events" occurring that do not indicate appreciable progress being made in cleansing the town of scum. I would not necessarily disagree with that assertion. Nonetheless, I still feel that we are beyond the "exchanging pleasantries" and talking about the Bourne book/film series phase of the game and things are going to start getting interesting--whether it be initiated by the players, Shroud making mod kills, or a plot device that we have yet to be introduced to.
My reads so far. I still left Drixx in the town group, but am on serious alert because of the "beef" with Zarni. Last two posts, apparently resolving things did little to change my mind. Looked a lot to me like they said, "everyone is on to us. time to drop it." Everything else I've seen so far has just been based on comments/attitudes/activity levels. Really starting to worry that this game is going nowhere like the RNG lynching game..
Leaning Town: Similar read on all three of these as they seem to be actively investigating, or at least questioning things in an attempt to gain information and "solve" the puzzle.

@Caluin Graye - I forgot to answer your question. It's true, I have considered dog food as a low cost source of protein.. but have yet to face the economic stresses that might force me into actually eating it. If you're referring to me answering my own question, then I already named Zemaj.
