INVADER ZIM and the St. Valentine's Day Massacre! Post Game Thread TOWNIE WIN!!

@Pancakes So, you voted right ... after ... end of day. Why did you vote for @Pyrotechnician ?
I was in and out of cell service, and had already said that I would throw support if a movement to lynch got started. Pyro started picking up steam, so I checked the thread at about 5 minutes to EOD, saw that, and voted. Had no time to explain why. Currently catching up on the thread after 13 hours of sleep, so long post chain incoming.

@D2DC you revealed inbox to prove you could remove PMs?
Correct. So, I believe d2lover planned this out. Left his convo with Gorny, and screenshot it as "proof" of his townieness.

Yea, we haven't heard much from you today Pancakes. I'm curious to hear what you have to say about the loss of Zim. You seem to have the clearest vision of how this game may be set up. How does Zim getting killed (and being Mafia) fit into what you know about the show? Are you familiar with all the different possible Mafia game mechanics?
Sorry guys, work was hell yesterday and I passed out on the floor when I got home. Working my way through the thread now.

Zim is the anti-hero of the show. He has on, occasions, saved Earth from rivals that sought to destroy it, that he may have the chance to conquer it. While he is anti-Earth, he is also anti-those who would destroy/enslave/conquer Earth. So him being killed to make room for evil plans does make sense. I am a bit surprised that Tak would go after him right away, given that they probably share the same goal, but perhaps it was a blind kill? I am very not familiar with the mafia game mechanics. I'm trying to re-learn, but there are a lot of eventualities I am not aware of.

Since d2lover still wants me to post my actual reason for voting him, here it is. This is now very murky due to the posting of inbox screenshots, but I'll put it together based on what I believed:

Unvote: Gorny
Vote: Pyrotechnician
Unvote: Noodle
Vote: Pyrotechnician
Let's get him pardner! :D

Unvote: skjolde
Vote: Pyrotechnician

In regards to the vote train, Here is the chain of votes after I voted for d2lover. First one was 2:39pm my time. last at 2:43pm, really fast, but understandable close to days end. Day ends at 3pm my time for reference.

Vote: d2lover
Gorny voted at 3:01pm my time.

Vote: Pyrotechnician

Pancake voted at 3:02pm my time.

There would have needed to be 6 votes on me to lynch me, there was a total of 4 after pancake. This is going to be relevant later. Gorny and Pancake technically voted after day end, but day end post didn't go up yet so was allowed.

Why is this important in my eyes? Here is Gorny's post before the fast voting happened.

Only a few choices for me as to a D1 lynch, but none really strong or "screaming scum"

1. Noodle, based on him claiming town D1 (twice) and the fact that he NEVER claims D1 or otherwise, especially this early.

2. d2lover, more for claiming that he is town too D1 and less so for voting me out of the gate.

3. Pyro for the sheer fun of it.

When you make your scum lists and you are scum, you almost always include in your suspect list someone on your team (see last game where I always included Zhao in my suspect list and he was my partner). This creates distance between you and your partner.

Then also see Gorny's last minute vote on d2lover. Two ways to look at this:

- What is the point of voting d2lover before days end from a town perspective when there is no chance of anyone being lynched at this point?

I guess to say you think he is suspicious and should get lynched, but it obviously won't happen, and he already said he was suspicious anyway before voting.

- What is the point of voting d2lover before days end from a scum perspective when there is no chance of anyone being lynched at this point? Create further distance. Later on in the game should d2lover be lynched you can point back to the fact that you thought he was scum all along to gain town credibility.

Now knowing that Gorny was scum, what here seems the most likely scenario?

The same could be said about D2DCs vote on you Pyro.

There was not much chance that you would have been lynched even IF all mafia jumped on it, there would be one vote missing. (and 2 for lock)

I'm assuming 3 mafia, 2 could be you and D2DC.

But let's see who else follows your argument and wants me in the river.

Fair enough, but at that point the lynch train was already picking up steam.

On the other side of that, if we are still looking at the possibility of multi anti-town factions I can't see where there would be 4 scum in total. That seems excessive. Based on all things that have been said, it sounds like this Tak person would be on a team separate from Zim. So do you believe that D2DC, Gorny, and myself are all on a scum team or something else?

Did a lot of pondering yesterday on the truck. As the hours ticked I became comfortable with only two possibilities: Tak and Zim both had NK moves and somehow Zim's was overruled/nullified, or Tak is either supported by or playing against a third anti-town faction.

Reasoning (featuring so much show lore):

When Tak lands on Earth, she knows exactly where Zim is and what his mission is. She is not fooled by his disguise, nor by the attempts to hide his base. She is shown to be a superior pilot, possessing superior equipment, and with superior training. She was defeated only by an alliance of Zim, Dib, and Gaz, with assistance from GIR's mayhem. She did not have the backing of the Tallest, but given her plan was to hollow out the Earth and fill it with snacks as an offering for them, she likely would have. At the end of the episode Zim regales them with the story of his victory, and they complain that they like snacks.
What can we infer from this? Tak was more powerful than Zim. Does her action outweigh his? Zim needed help from Dib and Gaz, aka townies, to stop her. Could he only have stopped her with a lynch? Or, possibly, was the NK Tak and the Tallest outvoting Zim?

What we need to find out as fast as possible is whether there is a third faction, which, by the numbers, could really only be a single player, and why Zim didn't kill anyone last night.

It would explain why you are obsessed with voting on me.

I only voted on you last day because you voted on me. I had no other reason than that.
