Yeah, I was also wondering about this, no need to role claim, but I have data on four townies, two Johnsons, one Ellis, and myself and we all are characters from the movie…. Why would there be an unammed townie?

I also assumed the mafia would be named (with corresponding alignment/ role powers) so I’m not sure why / how D2DC could be a townie or would claim one? Seems like a major slip or a silly assumtopion?

That makes no sense why two vanilla townies would have names, and you wouldn’t?

Saying that, I thought more people would have themed powers, like Ellis, but I guess there are lot of us to all have powers as that could unbalance a game?

Gorny just used them as placeholders in his story. Much like the credits of a movie: henchman #1, henchman #2 etc.

Concerning the crusade, it’s tricking knowing he was a VI, but he was also a Jester, and Jesters do hear a lot of information whilst jestering in the presence of kings…
Even I have a generic name of sorts. I’m not buying The Gorn is coming up with names for flavor. The flavor would have already been set. Naming the players is 94% of the fun in hosting mafia games.
