Re: Red Alert! (Spring/Summer OT Thread)
I have to go to the residence internet office today after my last class to see what's up. I have two online assignments to hand in, online lecture review slides and online final exam seating arrangements to look at.
Oh, and online exam schedule as well. A bit difficult to do with the lack of online-ness of my room.
So freaking stupid, I was just watching a movie and friggen internet just stopped working all of sudden. I called some guy who said he'll make a post in the residence internet forum so they can reset my port because "sometimes they just give out like that. You'll get your access back tomorrow at noon, at the latest."
So it's now almost 3 days later and I still haven't seen any internet. Yesterday we were fiddling around with a bunch of things we thought were wrong with my connection. Turns out it's probably something to do with the ethernet outlet in my wall, cause a different ethernet cable won't work, and my cable works fine with someone else's port, so luckily it's not something wrong with my computer.
They told me that it's not a ban for using up insane amounts of bandwidth on the university server, but at this point I don't care anymore. I have tons of **** to do online and it's totally bogus if they don't allow me to connect, or tell me to pay that reconnection fee.
Grrr.... :grrrr:
