With the lynch of Logoutzero, the final mafia member, the game ends in a town win.

Logouzero was Rath, of the Demons Three and Final Demon alive in the game.

You are a Mafia Godfather type role, and on investigation (if you are investigated), you will return a result of something like not mafia or innocent. You may, if you choose, target any one player per night and role block them. This will prevent the targeted player from initiating any night actions.

Greeting Pyrotechnician and welcome to the John Constantine Halloween Mafia Game. You have been randomly assigned the role of John Constantine. The World’s Greatest Con Man and Master of The Dark Arts. You are Town.

In game abilities:
1. Magic Circle: (2 Charges) You may, once per night draw a sigil in the form of a circle, comprised of salt, holy water, silver nitrate, or some other enchanted substance. You may draw the circle around yourself or someone else. Whoever is inside the circle is immune to all night actions and also stopped from initiating or performing night actions. Essentially Role Blocked and Role stopped or Jailed, all in one.
2. Illusion (2 Shot) You can once per night, create an illusion of yourself. Any night actions targeted at you will harmlessly redirect to the illusion and not you.

You cannot use both abilities in the same night.

Win Condition: You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.

Greetings Zemaj and welcome to the John Constantine Halloween Mafia Game. You have been randomly assigned the role of Papa Midnite.
In game Abilities:
Jailkeeper: You can target one player per night and Jail them. This will prevent them from being affected by any night action and also prevent them from initiating any night actions.
You also have a one shot lightning rod ability. Use it…cautiously.
Win Condition: Since you are neutral, you have no set win condition. You may choose to side with the town or the demons (mafia) and win with either in the end, or you may go for a last man standing win condition if you can find a way to play both sides against the middle.

The Story:

8 People ended up inside The House of Mysteries. They had all arrived by various but unexplainable means. Some were drugged and woke up in the main room of the house. Others were walking outside, when suddenly the house had appeared out of nowhere. One fell asleep at home, and woke up in the house. Another, oddly, blinked and was in the house where one second earlier, he had been somewhere else.

“Three and Eight you number, among you be a Master of the dark arts and the world’s greatest con man, one who has a hard time dying while driving a cab, one who sees, one who does not believe, One who runs a bar, One Who conspires, One who cheats, and one who cannot be trusted.


***Mod Rule set***


JCHM Night Action Flow rules:

1. Global roleblock (if any) Overrides and supercedes everything.

2. In the event of both a Jailkeeper action and a role block action being targeted between two players at each other, the Jailkeeper action takes priority and will jailkeep the player who is performing the Roleblock attempt.

3. In the event of Constantine drawing a magic circle around himself, this will protect him from being rolestopped, roleblocked or jailed by another player.

4. In the event that Constantine creates an illusion of himself, any actions including jails or blocks re-direct at the illusion and fail.

5. If Constantine dies, via Lynch or NK, he will exit the afterlife and live again as of the next Day Cycle. This can happen only once. (His role name or alignment is not revealed when this ability triggers)

6. As to Chas Chandler and The Eye of Horus: It can be directed at other players and not self used. This will protect from harmful night actions (Kills, a mafia roleblock, random visit to another player, being ass pumpkined)
If Lynched: Chas Rises The next morning and has no night action.
If NK’d: Chas rises the next night and cannot post for the duration of the day before he rises.

7. As to Zed’s abilities: Her sketches return items reveal pictures of items relate to whoever she sketches.

If Chas draws The Eye of Horus on Ab’s Door: Nothing abnormal happens.

Roleblocking doesn’t prevent resurrections like Constantine’s or Chas’s or the Spectre being vengeful.

In a situation where two different players role block each other, the first player to submit the action wins the toss and his/her roleblock wins.

As to Doc save type actions, they must occur before the kill attempt or they fail unless blocked, etc.

As to The Demons Three: They are essentially one mafia team of three. However, they are compartmented. Each only has a chat with one of the others. Essentially it’s A teamed up with B who is Teamed with C, A and C are not teamed up and B can be a traitor to either A or C, or play the middle against both ends for a solo win.

Personal thoughts and comments:

In a normal game, it would have ended back when it was down to 3v3, however in this game things were changed. Since the demons had the option of conspiring against each other (I.E., evil always turns on itself), when it came down to three demons vs. three town going into a night phase, they had to work together as a team and lynch one more town player to secure a win, Lynching Luhkoh that night would have ended the game in a three demon win. This wasn't the case however and the game continued with the demons (D2DC and Logoutzero) turning on each other. Had they not claimed, we still may have been playing, as Pyro still (unknown to him) had a one shot resurrection available - any lynch or NK would have been an instant resurrection and go back into play (earlier in game he would have sat out one phase), same for Leo. That's what the compartmented Afterlife dead threads were for. IF either Pyro or Leo died and expended a resurrection charge (which Leo did) they went there instead.

As to the lightning rod power of Zemj, it was on shot and not active until he chose to use it. I know there was some confusion over other protective abilities used that night, but I had it setup to work pretty much like this: The use of his lightning rod ability drew all night actions to him, including any kill attempt. Zemaj was unable to protect himself from himself, so he died at his own hand.

The wording on the mafia wiki for Lightning Rod, specifically " Otherwise, this functionally makes the Lightning Rod the designated Night 1 Mafia kill while rendering all other power roles worthless during Night 1. " and under where the USE and Power header "The X-Shot version of Lightning Rod is not necessarily as bad, but only good for a last resort if it is known that it will not hurt other power roles (or if the Lightning Rod has a death wish...). " Is what gave me the idea of making it kill him above all other night actions), if an NK was also drawn.




Things also would have likely been much crazier if Noodle had not Noodled out of the game, as the results of any investigation he did would have been completely and utterly useless. I really wished he would have contributed, even minimally. You know, tossed a vote out there, ask a question or two that actually helped the game along in some way?

I'm sorry Noodle, but the 4 posts you made before being modkilled were really nothing more than filler.

Epilogue....

It wasn't all sunshine and flowers for those that ended up in The Old Mill, while most had their own inner demons to deal with, they got on as they could. Well, most all of them except for Leopold Stotch, who had temporarily assumed the role of one Chas Chandler. He or she as he was now known, had exhausted all of the remaining 47 lives that she had left, and this was the very last one. Onknown to Leopold Stotch, the demon Ghast, now walking the Earth in the form of one D2DC or actually DPOP (Demon Prince of Penis as he was now known, got one final act of revenge on Leopold Stotch before his "demise": He impregnated her with demon spawn.

Whithin hours, Leopold Stotch knew something wasn't right, she looked as if she was five and a half months preggers and things were crawling around inside her. Later that night, local authoriities found her corpse lying on the sidewalk, looking as if an Alien Chestburster had had its way with her guts. There ere tiny sets of footprints going off in every direction away from her corpse, some went into a sewer, some went straight up the wall of a building, and others seemed to dance around her before the footprints faded. Whatever was borne unto the world was still out there.

Pyrotechnician however, now had his own inner demons to deal with. Having taken the permanent form of one John Constantine, Master of The Dark Arts, he had all of Constantines issues and inner demons to deal with, including Astra and The Newcastle Incident.


But of course, John won in the end as he always did:

 
Excellent game @Gorny I enjoyed it so much, and super happy to have participated in one. Will join another sometime soon, but not in the next week or two. Really impressed how elaborate the game was and it added a lot. Had a great time!

GG every1! Sorry @ Luhkoh........the whole language barrier thing! I felt I made a mistake and claimed it to be language barrier. Even though the game was difficult for me language wise! I couldn´t bring in as much time as I should have, and therefore hope I spoiled noones experience! Had the most fun battling it out with D2DC, even so I have to admit he´s the way better player! Could we have won the game if Logo and D2DC would have sealed that lynch?
 
The only reason I used Lightning Rod when I did is because there was obviously at least one protective power... whatever...
