[Game Thread] Narcos Mafia Game reboot - Medellín vs Cali Cartel

But I will agree that "Assassinate" is a weird phrasing for a boss.

Then I think it is more likely that each cartel has an sicario that is an assassin with a 1-shot triggered kill ability and a boss with a 1-shot kill ability.

Sorry guys I'm falling asleep...I'm not dead, just it took so much time that I am going to sleep too.

@Skjolde on @Zhao_Yue being a guard:

because - based upon WitP wiki - if he was a cartel leader, and uses some one-shot+reveal at random like this, he would loses the game anytime, as he is known from the DEA
- hit is the opposite cartel leader? Boom first cartel vanishes, and the DEA can kill him directly. DEA wins.
- hit any guard? Oh wait, DEA just have to focus on finding the other cartel leader. Would he be found and lynched, he would try and shoot his bullets even at death: DEA kills him + any other, his cartel loses anyway, and on a lucky shot the DEA wins, on a guard second shot the DEA loses.
True D2DC can play with the rules too, but he must have kept somehow close to the mechanics still.

That, and you can add the fact that he reveals that he has this ability for the night only, etc, just re-read @Zhao_Yue's posts. He can be lying. So could coju and Pyro. Ready to go for another mistake, really? You can choose to trust no-one, for now it's plain failure.

We have better targets. I'm just answering this case for now, but I really need to sleep, so I'll go deeper tomorrow, in at least 7+ hours. But we are having a week end at the snow with the kid, so tomorrow will be somehow dedicated to him first - he should discover skiing - aged 3.5

In the wiki setup it is much more vanilla, than we already see here with multiple abilites.

I'd imagine that in the wiki setup you focus more on the mexican standoff dilemma

I fail to see when this ability would be decent if it was only for bosses.

I don't look after the wording yet, just about the fact that this reveal sets Zhao as a boss or not. Anyway good night, but @d2lover and @Skjolde's remarks do make sense.

I think the fact that the Anarchist (DEA) can recruit, makes me think that he doesn't stay that close to mechanics in the wiki setup.

What are great targets? Noodle because he is basically AKF? d2lover because you have a DEA read on him, that i'm not really disputing, but I don't see the heavy arguments for it either?

We generate incredible small amount of discussion. I don't blame the players, but rather that this is more like a 3 party setup and you don't think you can trust almost anyone.

I must have missed the post where the host said he'd be bound by previously defined roles on an unaffiliated website.

He never said that and I don't either of us expect him to. I think it is perfectly reasonable to try and compare roles when the host claims that he stick mostly to the wiki setup. It generates discussion and thoughts about where he might have followed the setup and there he might have chosen not to.

Noodle...
We generate incredible small amount of discussion...
Yeah...I mean...good luck with that. If he chooses not to speak or worst not to vote
- we can't have a read so don't touch him
- naah it's his way to play, no pb give him a pass

Up to now he didn't take any time to generate anything. In this setup.

If he is a guard, fine we can deal with it. As he got a power role he has won, hiding behind his "way of playing".

There are three power players alive amongst 7. Just balance things...

Well like I said, good night. For d2lover I explained my read during the previous day. Jumping on the train today could add a bit, but I've yet to sum it up now, I have to try to get some time to think about it.

Anyway, finding possible with some reasons is still better than jumping head first in a double lynch/kill on people that could be logically be just guards...

Oh I agree. But it's been difficult this game.

But the point of the Heir/Boss kill ability is that is makes them vulnerable. It would be weird if the bosses could use their kill ability anonymously no matter the circumstances.
At least weird in the sense of how the wiki games are described and more importantly balanced.
True, but just like the DEA has informants (OP?), maybe the leaders have been buffed as well.

Only because you can do something meaningful doesn't mean it's good for you, in general mafia games, see the Make America Goo again game, where some night actions where just another way to **** it up
