INVADER ZIM and the St. Valentine's Day Massacre! Post Game Thread TOWNIE WIN!!

Vote Tally:

Noodle (coju)
Coju (Babyhell)
Babyhell (Noodle)
D2DC (Skjolde)

D2DC leads the votes with 2. All others are at one.
Ooh.. New plan?

I've just been notified that I am slowly gaining a secret power..

I think it's tied to the votes. If I am voted today, I gain a secret power. Hmm.. risky play but.. more power.. 🤤

As Cakes had pointed out, Leo's avatar is the Tallest.
Gonna treat her latest as confirmation.

We may have to lynch him. I can't think of another target or even another lead right now. We've got the double votes confirmed, we've got a dead Zim, a dead Tak, and, seemingly, a gentle suggestion that butters is the Tallest, which is what I had theorized way back when. At this point we're direly short on leads, and we've got 3.5 hours.

That is exciting. Any details you can give, or would it run afoul of rules?

I was informed in the original PM that I may acquire a secret power, but how or when I was never told. The vote by skjolde must have triggered it, but I don't have the power yet. Pretty sure I'd have to be lynched to get it.

And, my guess is that it would be something like 1-shot lynch proof. So, nothing to be gained by that anyway.

Thanks, interesting situation reveal... @Noodle thank you for your test, at least we know the double voter, and that wasn't you!

Hopefully @D2DC would have something positive, but...does that mean you need to have @Skjolde's vote on you at the end of the day to get your power, or you have to be lynch-voted, and then you would get your power instead of being lynched?

Well that's less exciting. Still something, I guess.

Do we have any leads besides coju? I'm suspicious but also somewhat reluctant to lynch him, given that he voluntarily claimed a third faction role when he could have claimed vanilla town and tried to hide it. Skjolde's claim of double vote is confirmed, Noodle is still a mystery, Babyhell and d2lover I got nothing. I'm still in this boat where I think people suspect me, but I've been mostly cleared of the surgeon role.

Digging through thread looking to confirm or disprove coju's actions.

Zim hurried back to his lab. He had many tests he needed to conduct. Gir was making waffles in the kitchen.
With the door left open and Gir making waffles, Tak entered the home base of operations.

“So, this is where the snievling weasel has made base and left himself wide open,” She sneered. She peered into the kitchen. Gir took notice.

“Helloooo-ooooo,” He said. “I'm making waffles.”
EOD 1/Night 1 story post. Gir making waffles.

A figure came in through the window, giggling menacingly.

Now that home base was back in rightful possession, things were about to get crazy and stuff!

Vote: coju

Rundown of my logic:

In the episode linked above, GIR Goes Crazy and Stuff, Zim, tired of GIR's chaotic and unhelpful activity, cranks his duty setting all the way up, making him an unstoppable robot invasion machine. GIR quickly realizes Zim is an incompetent invader, and leaves to go the library and learn everything he can about Earth so he can conquer it himself. Zim has to face him (along with Squidman) and find a way to deactivate GIR himself. GIR's refrain: "The mission is stupid. The master is stupid."
I think that something happened in the game, either by action at night or by losing Zim to Tak, that turned GIR to duty mode. I think he is telling us the truth about his night actions, but that they are not what they seem. Make waffles is pretty easily confirmed by the story, but "revenge" definitely seems like he went after Tak. And "luuk for pig-eee" is cutting into Membrane again. I believe that the names stayed innocuous, but the actions were sinister, reflecting his transition to Duty GIR. I believe he has taken over for Zim, and his mission is to destroy Earth.

I'm ready to vote for coju if need be. But I just don't find him that suspicious. He went through all this elaborate trouble to come up with something that he knew would cast suspicion on him.

If he indeed is scum, why take that risk?

Is this EoD a poor time for most people? I feel we are always struggling to get some discussions done before. It is of course also Saturday.

Hmm… that would stink if that’s what I’ve been doing. I could just not use a power tonight.

@D2DC are you wanting votes today??

(Last few games felt that way. Rumble rumble first 2/3, then last 1/4 info cones out)

The two revelations don’t settle right. Skjodle and d2dc both at end of day seem like they’re trying to sow confusion.

I brought mine up at beginning of day as to not do this. Skjodle easily could have not said anything concerning the double vote…
