The Noodle Compound V. 2.0

Re: The Noodle Compound

Bah I'm going to regret staying up so late at work tomorrow!!!! -.-

But hey at least I got to do quite a lot in Minecraft! Collected a metric buttload of marble, gathered a lot of copper, som iron, tin gold and misc metals, another metric buttload of glowpowder, a few blaze rods, mapped out some paths to use at later date, bred a lot of cows, slaughtered said cows for food and leather, made leather into books and books into bookshelves, harvested som crops and replanted, made 8 wind turbines, and 2 solar arrays alongside 2 solar panels (each solar array requires 8 solar panels and a low voltage transformer). Also replaced some copper wiring with glass fiber, and last but definitely not least, I made a mining laser and went around pew pew'ing everything, which was a blast. :D

All the crafting of solar panels and arrays and all that also require quite a bit. Macerating copper and iron ore, smelting the resulting dust, extracting rubber for use in wiring, etc etc etc etc. Solar arrays especially is a ***** to craft. A solar array requires as mentioned 8 solar panels, each of which require a generator, which in turn is made from an iron furnace, a battery (battery being made of copper wiring (which is made of copper and rubber), redstone and tin and refined iron (iron ingot smelted a second time). Then the solar array also needs glass and coal dust to craft. All of that for 1 solar array. Then you need the low voltage transformer alongside the 8 solar panels, which requires a couple copper cables, some copper ingots and wooden planks. Easy enough compared to the solar panels. And viola with all that you've got 1 solar array. :D

I'm sure there's a much faster way, but haven't looked into it yet. I know in previous versions of the mod I'm running, you could just load up your inventory with the base materials needed to craft the item, and pick the finnished product out, without crafting each individual piece. That woud've saved me a lot of time today lol. >_>

Anyway good night folks! :cloud9:

Re: The Noodle Compound

I was thinking the same. I played Minecraft for a while, but the game got horribly repetitive, even with mods. Plus it was so annoying managing them and such. Too creative, not actiony enough for me.

Re: The Noodle Compound

I grew up having to learn all kinds of F-key commands to use WordPerfect 5.1! You develop a whole different sort of intuition for computers when you start out like that. I never get the hang of these thngs.

I wish every time they updated MS Word I got a plastic function key template like they gave you with word perfect.

Re: The Noodle Compound

All this talk of function keys reminds me of how amazed people are when they see how many shortcut keys I know, and how I can manage so many windows with no issue.

Re: The Noodle Compound

We used to tell people that alt-f4 was a D2 shortcut. Good times.

I still tell people that. Mostly people on the street, or in a grocery store. Not a lot of fans out there, which is weird. It can't help that I'm wearing my special "druid" outfit at the time, I guess.

He's dedicated to making me like minecraft even less...

Yep that's my evil master plan. :D

Yea doesn't have a whole lot of action, but i still like it. Although i did find an area in the nether last night with like 3 blaze spawners somewhat close ro eachother. :D

Re: The Noodle Compound

Irony is the fact that there is a paper in Britain called The Sun.

This.

*applause*

:coffee:

I was shown fraps of Minecraft games at one time. I particularly liked the factory-farming ones where players were harvesting various types of monster in an efficient, automated process. Seeing those green guys being transported along ordered channels, their eyes fixed on you the whole time, made me laugh so much I would vomit. Seriously, I haven't laughed like that since the Zenadine Zidane compilation.

Obviously, I was chilled to the bone by the callousness of the folks creating these vile factories of misery, death and horror but **** me, it was funny. I mean, jaw-dislocatingly, cripplingly funny.

Yea I haven't made that yet. I do want to make a mega iron golem almost automated farm, it requires alot to build it though, and a lot of it!

Y'know there are texture packs that massively improve the graphics right? :p
