The Noodle Compound V. 2.0

Re: The Noodle Compound

Sounds like a nice vacation, Korial!

Been good so far, although I'm sore as hell! >_>

Anyone picked up rogue legacy while it was on sale? I got it right towards the end, and man that game is addictive! Also it is inbelievably difficult! At least on a keyboard. Looking at the controls, it feels a bit more suited for gamepads.

Re: The Noodle Compound

What kind of game is it?

It's old school "2D" platformer.

Basically how it works is you choose a character (one of 3 randomely presented to you), each may have up to 2 traits, and a magical attack. Granted the traits can be anything from you walking faster to the screen being turned upide down. So there are both good and negative traits. Then you go about exploring a castle. Killing enemies, destroying objects etc has a chance to give gold. Chests can give gold, armor schematics or runes to give aditional abilities. Every time you die (and trust me you will!), you're sent back to start where you choose a new character, and get to spend your gold. Then once you're done you have to pay some dude the rest of your gold to enter the castle again. So no saving up between rounds! Spend it all, and get on killing.

Re: The Noodle Compound

Sounds fun ish. Does it give you a boner? (ps: I just put that in to see what the bipolar guy will do, maybe I shouldn't mention that, right?)

Re: The Noodle Compound

Probably won't ever give a regular boner, but considering the amount of times you will die, it most likely will get you a raging boner at some point. :p

I've spent 40 hours on this and just finished NG+5. Locked in the castle and fought all the bosses back to back with spellsword using the fire circle. Pretty OP for bosses...

The castle is randomized each time you play a new heir, too, unless you're willing to get only 60% of the gold you would otherwise get and lock in the previous castle.

This sounds like something I would absolutely love! I'll check it out later. It also sounds a lot like BoI, but 2D platformer, which I prefer.

Much less replayability than BoI imo but still a great game. I mean, 40 hours for $15 and I'm not quite done with it. Besides, you could always load it up and do a full clear as vertigo/savant or something frustrating like that.

Vertigo actually made me really really mad. It made all the text upside down to go along with everything else being totally confusing and I vowed never to try it again after that.

Re: The Noodle Compound

lol, sounds nice.

15 bucks is a bit much for me. I'm sad I didn't get it while it was on sale. I'll probably just wait it out, unless I get really bored of PoE and BoI.....which is extremely unlikely to happen anytime soon.
