It sounds like you had a pretty enthusiastic surgeon. The worst part of getting my wisdom teeth extracted was that they almost killed me with anesthesia. No swelling and little pain. :cloud9:

Yeah, the dude had to cut my gums all up and stuff. All he gave me was some numbing stuff, which is the absolute worst, cause I could see all the needles, scalpels, drills and what have you.
I even heard the drilling and the cracking of my teeth when he got in there.

That sounds like a cheap surgeon.

Mine actually injected stuff into my arm and knocked me out for the procedure.

Actually, I consider him to be a pretty cheap dude.
My brother got his braces with this guy, and it was thousands of dollars cheaper here than with some other more "professional" dude.
 
The first two wisdom teeth they took out wasn't such a great experience for me, the second was actually a lot better (which happened six years later). For the first ones they had to cut away part of the gum to get to one since it hadn't come out yet then had to break it in half to be able to get it out. The vicodin they gave me knocked me out for nearly two days, and that was with just the first one when I got back to the barracks.

The second time wasn't very bad at all - numbed me up, wiggled them a bit, and they came right out. Minimal bleeding compared to the first, and it didn't hurt at all after. They had given me a different painkiller the second time, and I only recall that it made me sick. I don't remember if that was this year or last year...I think it was a February though. :p

I was invited to go to Hyjal with the guild last night, totally unexpected - especially considering my character doesn't quite meet their requirements for it just yet. She has enough +healing now, but her health is still rather low. We got the first two bosses down without much trouble, and I only died once - an infernal spawned on me and one-shot me before I had a chance to do anything (we're supposed to run to one of the paladin tanks when that happens). It was funny though after that, for the next attempt on that boss (we had to wipe it because of an infernal spawning on the same tank just before the last one died) a couple people had made a sort of bet pool as to if I lived through the fight. I think it got to ~50gold if I survived it. So I told them I'd double that to anyone that could keep me alive. Lucky for me though, an infernal wasn't spawned on me again, and was hardly ever under half health (kept getting a debuff that acted like a poison).

Was put on standby for the third boss so someone with the shadow resist gear could step in for the fight. I think they only made one attempt on that one, sounded like the game was glitchy and it was already getting late. They'll be going back on Thursday. Tonight is Kara for me, was told last night by our main raid leader that he was going to put together a group of people that doesn't need anything from there to make sure I actually get it this time. I talked with him a bit last night via vent, and he was "very pleased" with the amount of progress I've made with my character since I've joined (just more than two weeks ago); from the sounds of it I'll get to go to Hyjal and BT for at least the first and second boss now. :jig:

I find that a cup of hot ginger tea cures my sore throats.
