It's a social game Billy, and you're supposed to ask for help ...which i don't remember you doing at all any time I was on. Much of the content is soloable... and there are ways of surviving two at a time. It's not like DII and I'm glad for the difference. I've ended up in a 4 monster vs. me fight more than once ...and beat them.
If they didn't strive so hard to stamp out any ability at all to solo the game, I might have stayed. Two of any kind of monster is a guaranteed death. I hate having to depend on others to level, especially when the majority of them are morons. If you die, you're out of the party, if they level or get whatever it was they were after, the party is disbanded. It got old real quick.
I tried to get into it, I made a lot of different characters. I liked the different builds and the professions were probably the best part of the game. I like to be able to go anywhere and do anything I want, I thought that was the point of having a vast "living" world to play in. As it is though, they've pissed me off and once a company does that I'm pretty much done with them.
With EVE Online, the only thing stopping me from doing anything and everything is me. I can go anywhere, do anything. I don't need to interact with anyone to achieve my goals and I can build an empire if I so choose. Sadly, Rappelz offers everything that WoW does and I don't have to deal with morons to level. Yeah, it's a grindfest but so is WoW. The drops and the experience are better in Rappelz too, this is a key point since I have a life.
I'm actually glad they screwed up the billing. Once I've gone over last months statement and am sure they did not bill me, I'll be relieved. I just saved $78.00 that I can spend on something I actually enjoy.
