INVADER ZIM and the St. Valentine's Day Massacre! Post Game Thread TOWNIE WIN!!

I'm not on the list.
Not sure I understand the importance of the list though.
By "list" I mean Pancake's recurring character list.

If everyone is on the list, or is a major character, then it makes it less plausible that scum would attempt a fake claim with a main character. They would be risking a CC. It's not fool-proof, but the more "main" character you claim, the more legit it seems. The more obscure character you claim, the more likely it could be a fake claim. At least, that's the idea behind it.

My first thoughts concerning the list is that it is a good idea. I initially thought we’d all be on there, but multiple of us have said we’re not on the list and all that’s done is give scum more characters to hide behind.

Man, come back from work and find a lynch mob at my front door. Some welcome. Let's get into it, I guess.

From what I gather the main evidence against me is an exchange with Pyro that has been deemed "too convenient". I'd like to invite everyone to travel back to page 19, if you would, and read all of snickersnack's posts on that page. Quoting them all here would be far too lengthy. I am accused for a mistake on my part, which I acknowledged and corrected/ However, snickersnack was on the lynch train even before that. Previous page:
I'm not voting for him now, and I don't plan on it, and I also don't get @coju's point. I didn't press @coju and decided to let @Pancakes defend himself. However, being most versed in the lore doesn't seem to me to be a selling point for townness. It's irrelevant to townness, to me, so it seems like an odd defense. "Hey guys, I know the most about the lore, so I'm useful to town!" As though that lore isn't also useful for scum. Sus defense, to me.
This is before my supposed slip of the mafia tongue, before my so-called convenient exchange with Pyro. The evidence is being made to shape a theory, which is completely backwards from how we should be working here. We had no much to go on from the previous night, we are still in the dark about how many factions there are, what powers they may have, and how many are threatening to us, and we're here locking in votes because Pyro pointed out I was wrong and I acknowledged that I was mistaken and had completely misunderstood. That was the exchange. Don't let these repeated insinuations that it was a dogwhistle to my mafia partner or two scum chums helping each other distract you from the fact that Pyro asked why I was assuming something incorrect to everyone, to which I responded that I had misunderstood a line of discussion, and then we didn't really talk to each other. Or, just maybe, consider that I made sure to vote Pyro even though I had only two or three minutes before the EOD, and could easily have been modkilled for posting after EOD if something went wrong (and if butters was being strict).

@Pancakes any good reason you can give why all your visitors are turning up with missing organs?
None whatsoever. I am a (say it with me) vanilla townie currently fighting for his life.
I attempted to MD @Pancakes, and it failed. So, some ability interfered. Since @Pancakes claims to have no ability, that would imply that someone targeted him or RBed me. I'm not sure that I believe him though.

I was targeted last night, though. I can't vote today.
Given that I've been very vocal all game, I could easily have been targeted by something. I don't really know what would block your ability if it targets me, though. More likely, someone blocked you since you're the only active power role that has yet claimed.
I do think that Keef would be an odd choice to include as vanilla town.
Why? He has lines in one episode, then just kinda shows up as background filler in a few others. He doesn't do anything particularly impressive, isn't very intelligent, gets used by Zim to advance his mission (sort of?), and then brainwashed to see rabid, angry squirrels as Zim. Which part of that screams "power role"?

Keef is in a lot of episodes as a background character, kind of like the purple haired twins in The Simpsons. They're in many episodes, but they don't usually speak. I'm not too familiar with the episodes where he plays a role, though. I do think that Keef would be an odd choice to include as vanilla town.

If you read the wiki, you might start to think that Keef's character would be Zim aligned. I don't know that Leo definitely went that way, but Keef is Zim's "bestest friend." That doesn't really read town to me. 🤷‍♂️
I’ll echo this post, @Pancakes because I think it’s worth mentioning again.

The post feels full of reaching in an attempt to paint your a certain way. Him and D2DC both have been on your case more than others, iirc.

I believe I was the first to point a finger at you concerning letting you slide because you knew the background of the game. Had it remained closer to that or a better attempt at your lynch if be voting for you, but alas:

Unvote: Pyrotechnician
Vote: snickersnack

My turn to ask this question: am I taking crazy pills or
I have a strong feeling that those of us that are actively going back and forth are not the people we should be looking at. D2DC, D2lover, and I were going at eachother for most of last day phase. d2lover with his role claim and you with your ability mostly solidify you both as town. D2DC was vote restricted so he's probably town as well (unless they played the old vote restrict your teammate play to make it seem like you are not scum move). Babyhell and pancakes were scarce, I understand weekend and all, but the easiest days to hide are those where the discussion happens without you.
One could just as easily say that those going back and forth are hiding behind a wall of words. It's a fallacious argument either way. Except where Noodle and his three or four posts is concerned. Unless he's on a post restriction for some reason.

Also, everyone go ahead and cast your minds way back to page 22-24ish. Pyro has dropped the bombshell that he is President Man, and survived a NK attempt. If I'm scum buddies with Pyro, as snicker says, why would I NK him? Because this whole line of thinking makes no sense. I supposedly got covered by him when I slipped up and almost revealed our evil duo, but then I voted for him when we were pushing for a lynch and fell short, but then I kill him when that fails? For what possible reason? This is flimsy logic.

But that was after your error (that I think you planted). I started with some evidence, not something made up.

I don't see why scum would block a weak PR. How well have I used the ability so far? Hmmmmmm. 🤔 If I've done a good job, then someone should be worried.

He's obsessed with Zim, and that's pretty much his defining characteristic.

By-the-way, are there any other characters relevant to Tak that you haven't told us about? Hmmmm?

Forgive me if I am getting characters mixed up. But, Gorny = Zim, Cakes would be his teammate GIR, and Pyro = Tak. At least that's my running theory.

Even before my error (that wasn't planted) you were already saying that my using my knowledge of the lore (which worked in calling Tak as a faction, btw) was a "sus defense".

A bit like when you were reaching so hard at me in the narcos game, right?

But part of snicker's accusation is based upon Pyro and I supposedly cooperating to assuage any doubts about my towniness. Since we've seen that Tak and Zim were definitely not aligned, it would make zero sense for the two of us to be helping each other.

So I thought about it for a while on the truck today and came up with a list of characters that might be notable enough to be in the game. This doesn't really mean much, since butters could pick just about anyone she wants, but if we're going with the bigguns:
The Tallest
Zim
Dib
Gaz
Professor Membrane
GIR
Ms Bitters
Parents

Unless I'm overlooking someone, those are the main recurring, named characters.
Off the top of my head, some other named characters that play a role in at least one or two episodes:
Tak
Keef
Chickenfoot
Bloaty
HUNTER-DESTROYER
And, most importantly, Invader Skoodge.

I may have missed a couple, but that's what I got until I have time to peruse the wiki more. Thirteen names. With there being so few of us, and given that butters seems to want this to be pretty connected to the material, I think it's very likely that most of these names, at least the main ones, are in use. Regarding the theory of The Tallest being a faction, I think butters has answered this. Check out her avatar.
@Skjolde @coju @Noodle

You guys on this list?

Because they don't have much else to go on at the moment. Only one power role has claimed. Why would they block a rando when they have a solid lead?

Unless you're MiMi. ;)

That is his defining characteristic, yes. Dib is obsessed with Zim. It's his defining characteristic. His classmates constantly complain about how he's always talking about Zim. He loiters outside his house. He is also undoubtedly town.

Tak has her own SIR unit, which takes the form of a cat when in disguise. She has a spaceship that is sarcastic and hates Dib. He finds it crash landed in his back yard at the end of her episode. That's all I can remember.

With the door left open and Gir making waffles, Tak entered the home base of operations.

“So, this is where the snievling weasel has made base and left himself wide open,” She sneered. She peered into the kitchen. Gir took notice.

“Helloooo-ooooo,” He said. “I'm making waffles.”

Tak began to explore the place, looking for the entrance to Zim's secret lair. Tonight was the night!! She could feel it in her Irken body.

She found another entrance and snuck in. Inside, Zim had a man's body on the table, the PAK on his back poking, proding, replacing a heart with a plastic piggy.
So, Snicker provided his "voicebox" story first. This was the flavor story that Leo wrote. Snicker specifically said that he was told that he "blacked out" and woke up without his voicebox (no vote). This is EXACTLY what happened to me the night before. "Blacked out" and woke up without my heart.
1. He could have made up a similar story to gain town credibility, but we can at least verify that his votes today are invalid.
2. He wouldn't have known to use the phrase "blacked out" unless the same thing actually happened to him.
3. He did not know that I had visited Pancakes the same night I had my heart removed.

Conclusion: the same thing that happened to me, happened to Snicker, and we each visited Pancakes the night it happened. This doesn't 100% clear Snicker in my book, as said, mafia could have orchestrated this to one of their own to make them appear victimized by scum. However, for this to be true, he would almost certainly have to be on a team with Pancakes to pull it off.
