[won by mafia] 2d3 game normal, no lore, just lynching [Game Thread]

Earlier, I was reluctant to agree with @coju about @Gorny because I was a bit worried about reading scummy. (Does that "read" as scummy? ) I was also a bit worried that post #446 would look a bit scummy, but I decided that I'd never post anything if I was always worried about that, so I posted it anyway.

If your suspicions of me are based mainly on that post, well the damage is done I suppose. This:

can read as scummy. That's entirely my fault. But, I did notice that no one responded to my question, at least not directly, and it's still a question in my mind.

Can't be afarid to post, that makes the game no fun. Give it a shot, I've been lynched for posting a variety of things that still made no sense even after the game ended.

I have noted that it made you look scummy in my personal thoughts for whatever that's worth.

If you want my perspective regarding his aggressive play style:

- Yes it is a mafia game tactic.
- In terms of a town player using it, becoming laser focused on one player and ignoring all else usually results in bad outcomes, as was seen in this game. It can however make people that are less accustomed to mafia games to slip up and make mistakes and reveal more "scummy" behavior from the target if they are in fact scum.
- In terms of a mafia player using it, if it results in a townie being lynched, it then in turn can be used as a cover to explain why they did what they did and "explain it away" if other players accept that.

Short version: its reasonable to be suspect of his actions, and you should push him on it if you feel like there is more to it.

coju, you don't think Gorny is trying to fish for the other townie PR is he? Did you understand his talk of breadcrumbing?
I never liked Hansel and Gretel.
2 things:

@ccoju nice of you to quote only part of my post. You cleverly left out the part where I said that I'm not inviting out possible PR to come forward.

@Pyrotechnician :

Your post concerning all players with varying levels of scummy activity and we are all sus...

Would be a perfect WIFOM post for a scum to hide behind
(I’ll quote your entire post here) someone else said you were fishing for PRs. Not I said the cat.

@Pyrotechnician Thanks for the detailed repsonse.
Voting to lynch and then unvoting very close to day end so the person does not end up lynched is considered scummy behavior.

Telling us that you thought about it, I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse.
Interesting. I didn't do that thing, but saying that I thought about it can make "something" worse. It seems that posting anything about my thoughts when I'm not under direct pressure reads as scum. Good to know.

Anything can be considered scummy if you read it enough times....hahahaha.

Your original post saying you were considering voting to secure the lynch wasn't so bad as that's pretty normal, but saying you would have voted to lynch and then unvoted took me off guard.

The original thing from that post that actually peaked my interest is when Zhao said he had a theory and then you immediately followed up with a theoretical coju/snicker scum team before anyone else even said a word. There is usually an element of truth in most posts so I took note of that.

Thanks. I think that probably a few players found it weird but no one wanted to be the first to point it out, and once @coju did, I still was reluctant. Maybe it will go nowhere; we'll see. I've posted about it already, so maybe @Gorny will respond to that post (with sweet, sweet logic I'm sure).

Well, we are still awating @zhao's post on that, but it seemed to me that there was a pretty obvious line to follow. I was just getting out in front of it. Also a bad idea, it seems.

My theory in mafia is don't defend yourself unless you are actually accused of something, pre-emptively defending yourself makes you look like you are guilty.

Without specifically endorsing anything:
I say we lynch gorny and see what happens.

I say we lynch gorny and see what happens.
I would like to hear from Gorny before being down with that. He is not the one that I am the most suspicious of, so I am a bit on the fence. I can be persuaded though!
What is your impression on Gorny claiming Noodle is town, are you confident in his assertion?
Annoying to say the least. I will say, I have no reason to be confident in his assertion. But are we really trying to make (not accusing) a connection between Gorny and Noodle, based on Gorny basically writing Noodle off as Town?
So we besically have a solid read on who the two scums are? I just don't buy it. But it annoys me to no end, that he won't say more, I will say that much.

Day 2 votes:

Pyrotechnician 1 (coju)

Players alive:

1. Gorny
2. Noodle
3. Skjolde
4. coju
5. Zhao_Yue
6. snickersnack
7. Pyrotechnician

Dead:
1. Babyhell Vanilla Town
2. D2DC Town Doctor

With 7 players alive it takes 4 votes to lynch and 5 to lock (standard ruling here) (please correct me if wrong calculated)

I still think 1 of the 2 remaining could be scum. I still think that.

Perhaps, but, as much as I disagreed with the lynch-ee. I had thought about voting to secure the lynch.

As to the first couple of votes in the day: yes, it is painfully obvious they losing the doc isn’t good. I think someone singing with joy inside would feel the need to echo that statement. (As I have been tongue tied when nking a PR as scum before)

Vote: Pyrotechnician
So @coju how do you stand on this vote now? I think there are some irregularities in pyro's play. He is certainly much more active than normal, but I suppose you feel like you owe it to the other scum member to atleast try to participate?

He was one of the 3 that for the longest voted on BH (Gorny is also one of them)

He also made the remark that he (pyro) and D2DC could read eachother very well, which is an odd remark considering that D2DC was NK'ed.

I’m not sure what you mean here

Unvote: Pyrotechnician
Vote: Gorny

I don’t think the link between pyro and d2dc reading one another then one winding up dead points directly at the other being scum. Although, I could be wrong, as it is one of those moves where you look both ways
