Can't believe it's going to be another 2 months wait. I get why they are doing it and it will be for the best, but still frustrating. Guess it will keep us all busy over the holiday period at the end of the year. Still, arghghghhgg!
 
Pretty gutted it's delayed. Not surprised though and at least it will ship in better shape. Star Wars: Squadrons will keep me busy for a month before this drops.
 
Was it delayed again because the game needed more work or because the release of the next gen consoles may not happen until mid Nov? My guess is Cyberpunk2077 will be the Series X launch title. This gives CD Projeckt Red an extra 2 months to polish the game.
 
Not totally convinced by that argument. As far as I am aware, it was always going to come to next-gen anyway. Perhaps it is though and they just weighed up what would be easier for shipping purposes.
 
The latest rumour now is the delay may be to add VR support. Guess we'll find out more at the Night City Wire event on the 25th. I haven't seen any details yet on when or where to watch.
 
I am actually happy with fact that they will be only releasing the game when they feel that it is 100% ready. There is no point in rushing things and if the people can wait for years, they can certainly wait for few more weeks or months as well.

I am surprised at the delay tbh. There's also a lot of tweets doing the rounds from journos stating that CDPR staff have been working crazy hours to hit the deadline and did not even know this delay was coming. You do have to wonder about comms in the company right now. Staff will be under...
