I really need to play Borderlands 3. For some reason the art style just put me off. It is really good, I just can't click with it for some reason. I obviously have a problem :) Still, more content is always good!

Play for the sweet, sweet loot.

Every DLC is almost like an entire game. There is that much extra content and that many playable new hours. Gearbox is doing this right. It almost makes up for that annoying Ava character....almost.
 
You have until the 4th to farm some of the best guns in the game from the Cartel event. Get your Yellowcake, Nopewpew and OPQ before it's too late. Hang onto those that spawned with crappy anointments too because it looks like Gearbox is going to do some tweaking and nerfing so a bad gun may become a good gun and vice versa.
 
Borderlands 3 has postponed the release of the new Guardian Takedown event that was schedule to drop today. The balance patch is also postponed because it was tied to the Takedown.

Good news is the Cartel Event will stay up until Gearbox decides that they won't take FL4K(<<<did you see what I did there?) for releasing an update to the game during the Human Rights protests.

they also donated an extra $1M to the 2K foundation and expanded it's mandate to support the fight against racial injustice.

I'm not even mad.

Looks like the OPQ wasn't nerfed which shocked me but the yellowcake as expected had a huge damage decrease. I'd guess the max damage has been cut in half.

Submachine guns received a huge boost too.
 
The new Guardian Takedown still needs some serious balancing tweaks even after enemies health and armour were reduced a few days ago.
 
Starting to think I should start playing this but can't bring myself to start something new at the moment when I have other stuff to finish.

Have you played #1 and #2 and the pre-Sequel?
 
I have all those but only bothered to play #1. I started playing #2 with Elly but for some reason, we ended up just stopping playing. Probably other stuff came up but we were never compelled to go back to it.
 
If you do decide to take it back up, I recommend playing them in order.
 
Yeh,. I wouldn't start on 3, would go back. In the middle of A Way Out at the moment though which so far is proving mediocre.

New download content playable now. Ok story. Not as good as the previous 2 DLC's but still stronger than the main game. Cap level raised 3 points to 60.

Some good guns, some bad guns and some overpowered boss killers sure to be nerfed very soon. The Maliwan Complex Root is a sniper that can kill end level bosses in seconds.

I'd give the DLC a solid A-.
 
Iron Bear has been broken since the Mayhem update. Moze kicks ass in the Iron Bear after the latest hotfix. I hope this was an intended fix and not something accidental that will be taken back in a future hotfix. Playing Moze is fun again.

You can solo Mayhem 10 Maliwan Takedown just using Iron Bear now.
